The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) uses four Arc Flash PPE Categories to classify ranges of arc flash hazards. These categories correspond with the electrical safety requirements In reference to the Canadian Standard for Electrical Safety – CSA Z46mailto:[email protected] – the Arc Rated PPEs of 75 cal, 100 cal and 140 cal are combined into a separate category five.
